Dr. Moros leads the key workshops of the acceleration program of the MIT Enterprise Forum-Greece startup competition training bootcamp since 2017, teaching methodologies and tools for innovative and effective entrepreneurship, corporate strategy and startup development to the selected startup teams that participate in this competition each year. Furthermore, he has over 20 years of extensive international experience in the fields of corporate strategy, business analytics, digital product management, operations & supply chain management, as well as corporate finance. During his career, he has participated in significant consulting engagements with leading private and public organizations in Greece and abroad within the sectors of consumer goods & services, manufacturing, retailing, telecoms, banking, insurance as well as other sectors.

In the early years of his career, he worked as Equity Analyst at the subsidiary investment company of Piraeus Bank in Greece and following that as Senior Equity Analyst and Member of the Investment Committee at the subsidiary investment company of Agricultural Bank of Greece (ATE Bank), covering listed companies in the sectors of consumer goods & services (including apparel and FMCG), retailing, utilities, IT and telecoms.

 

Later on, he assumed the position of CFO in one of the three largest luxury apparel distribution and retailing companies in Greece. Following that, he relocated to Switzerland where he served as Head of Operations & Procurement Management of one of the global product divisions at Hugo Boss Group.

 

From 2009 until 2014 he worked as Senior Manager within the consulting industry (initially at Kantor Management Consultants and then at ICAP Group-Management Consultants), focusing on projects related to business strategy & planning, corporate finance, business analytics as well as operations & supply chain management.

 

In 2014 he joined EY Consulting Services as Senior Manager, focusing on performance improvement projects within the fields of finance, operations and strategy. Then, in 2018 he was promoted to Director of Consulting Services, Data & Analytics at the Central, Eastern, Southeastern Europe & Central Asia (CESA) Data & Analytics Center of Excellence, based in EY Greece. Parallel to his role, over the period 2017-2019 he served as the EY CESA Consulting Markets Coordinator.

 

Since Jul. 2021, he works as a Director at EY Global Consulting Platform & Products unit, focusing on enabling and accelerating strategic planning, governance, market activation and improvement of the global consulting digital products and platforms, as well as the product portfolio investment and assessment. In parallel, since 2019, he also serves as the CESA Consulting Finance Analytics Leader.

 

In terms of academic activities, during 2012-2020 he served as an Adjunct Professor and Guest Lecturer at the “Business College of Athens” (BCA), where he taught courses and gave lectures related to Corporate Strategy, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Operations Management, and Business Analytics. Moreover, he has participated as a keynote speaker or subject-matter expert in various domestic and international conferences, workshops, competitions, and company trainings/seminars related to his fields of expertise. Furthermore, he also serves as an EY Lecturer/Trainer to the annual training programs of EMEIA region for the new senior consultants, teaching fundamental consulting skills, including engagement management principles, effective client interactions, insightful business presentations, coaching, delegation and feedback.

 

Dr. Moros holds a BSc degree in accounting & finance from the American College of Greece, an MSc degree in finance (top 5% of the graduating class) from the University of Strathclyde-Business School in Scotland, an MBA degree from the University of Chicago-Booth School of Business and an MSc degree in research methodologies of management science from IE Business School-IE University in Madrid (final grade: outstanding). Moreover, he is also a Doctor in Business Administration (PhD & DBA) with distinction (Merit) from IE Business School-IE University, focusing on operations management and corporate strategy.

 

He is a regular member of the CFA Institute, the “Education-Innovation-Entrepreneurship” committee of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, the international “Institute for Operations Research & Management Sciences”, the “Academy of Management” international professional association and the international “Production & Operations Management Society” where he also served as a Practice Leader during 2018-2020.

Every year, great startups with insightful ideas and promising business models compete for the prize of the MITEF Greece Startup Competition. The tools, the methods, knowledge and insights they gain during the training sessions have proven to be very valuable to their growth and success
