Since September 2013, George is President of SouthWestern Europe for IPG MediaBrands, responsible for Interpublic’s (NYSE:IPG) media buying, planning and digital performance companies in Austria, Greece, Portugal, Switzerland and Turkey. The 412 experts in UM, Initiative, bpn, Reprisemedia and PromoQube deliver creative ideas, targeted planning, efficient media buying, digital performance and engaging social and mobile media solutions to more than 300clients in the region.

Prior to IPG Mediabrands, he was the Executive Director of Ogilvy & Mather, Greece which, became under his leadership and due to the work of his colleagues the best communications group in the country. The advertising agency Bold Ogilvy&Mather is the biggest, most profitable and most awarded ad agency, the second advertising agency of the group, SohoSquare (which George founded) became the 3rd most awarded agency in its second year, OgilvyOne is the biggest, most profitable and the Digital Agency of the year for 7 years in a row and won hundreds of awards including 3 at Cannes Festival and Asset OgilvyPublic Relations was the PR Agency of the year and the biggest PR agency in Greece.

Before heading Ogilvy & Mather, Greece, George was the Google Greece country manager where he set up the local office, recruited the team, made 100+ publisher deals for AdSense and signed up a reseller partner (ICAP). He also published a book to help educate the local market in AdWords.

Before Google, George was Managing Director and partner in OgilvyOne, Athens which turned into a profit and became the leading Greek digital agency with many firsts in the Greek digital market including viral, social, digital video and mobile campaigns. OgilvyOne, Athens in the internal evaluation among 156 O&M global offices reached top score with 4 out of 5 stars. George arrived in Ogilvy family following the sale of his digital marketing agency, yellownetroad, which wasa pioneer and the most successful digital agency in Greece in the first half of 2000. Most of the top digital talent of Greece started their digital carreers in yellownetroad.

Prior to his digital career and between degrees, George has travelled the world working for 2 years at Richard Hochfeld Ltd, importing grapes in the UK for Tesco.

George holds an MSc (with distinction) In Information Systems from the London School of Economics, a BSc in Management Sciences from Warwick University and has attended multiple executive courses in various topics Finance (Alba), Negotiations (Harvard), Private Equity (Oxford), Shipping (Lloyds). He also speaks Greek, English, French and can understand Italian.

When he was younger he was an avid athlete practicing many sports with highlight 6 national medals and beingpart for 4 years of the National Greek team in Shotokan Karate.
