The Competition - 2019

The MIT Enterprise Forum (MITEF) Greece Startup Competition is a business skills accelerating competition in which Greek technology startups compete for prizes and international brand recognition.

If you have an exciting new product or service, participating in the MITEF Greece Startup Competition will give you access to the practical knowledge, mentorship, and resources to take your venture to the next level. Competition winners are the best of the best in Greece and will receive global recognition through the MIT Enterprise Forum Global, a global network devoted to enabling early-stage entrepreneurs to transform ideas into world-changing companies.

Key Dates & Deadlines

First round: The application process will open to eligible teams or companies on January 9th, 2019 with new entry deadline the 8th of February. During February 2019 the judges will select the top entries. Semi-finalists will be individually notified and advance to the second round.

Second Round: From March till May 2019 the semi-finalists will be assigned mentors and go through a carefully designed series of free workshops, such as  Entrepreneurship and Business Modelling, Perfect Pitch, Human Resources, Legal Matters, Marketing, Finance and Tax by local and international partners. The judging of the 2nd round will be done through live presentations,  for the selection of the top 10 teams that will proceed to the finals.

Final Judging & Award Ceremony: The top 10 finalists will get on stage in the first week of July 2019 to pitch live to a high-profile panel of judges, which will select the winner and 2 runner-ups.

GENERAL TRACK

1st Place

Twiddle develops AI powered film scoring services both for the B2C sector via a mobile app, and for the B2B industry through Saas opening monetization channels beneficial for all sides.

2nd Place

AidPlex is a HealthTech startup aiming at disrupting the orthopedics sector by offering patient-centered products and revolutionizing the monitoring of patients.

3rd Place

PD Neurotechnology Ltd. is developing Wearable Medical Devices for Continuous Monitoring of Movement Disorders. Its first solution is PDMonitor, a sophisticated expert system for patients with Parkinson’s Disease.

ENERGY AND MOBILITY TRACK

The first integrated and independent web-based platform to provide optimal network solutions for Bunkering. An innovative platform that connects buyers with sellers, supports markets’ rules and regulations and reduces risk and cost. Bunkering at Sea optimizes bunkering operations, offering value to both ends of the Market.
