In his role as Global Commercial Director, Panos Papakonstantinou is leading the commercial strategy, product value proposition and planning for a digital therapeutic since March 2018. Panos is a key decision maker for Novartis when it comes to identifying, screening and assessing potential in-licensing opportunities, and provide disease area expertise and commercial input. Prior to his current role, Panos headed the Digital Commercial Region of Europe, reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer for Europe focusing on digital commercial approach, brand strategy effectiveness and simplification.
Before joining Novartis 2011, Panos was working as an eBusiness Product Manager for the EFG Eurobank in Greece, where he also founded two software startups. He holds an international MBA and a master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering. In the recent years, Panos was a key contributor to several whitepaper publications about marketing in the pharmaceutical industry, and gave several keynotes at international conferences focusing on Digital.
